Death Investigation Underway Near Nederland Home; Authorities Say No Threat to Public
David Wilcock Death: Authorities in Boulder County are investigating a death that occurred Monday morning near the 1400 block of Ridge Road, northeast of Nederland.
According to the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, Boulder County Communications received a 911 call at approximately 10:44 a.m. on April 20, 2026, reporting an unknown emergency at the residence. The emergency dispatcher noted indicators suggesting a possible mental health crisis during the call.
Deputies arrived at the scene at approximately 11:02 a.m., where they made contact with an adult male outside the residence who was reportedly holding a weapon. Officials stated that within minutes of law enforcement’s arrival, the individual used the weapon on himself and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Investigators conducted a search of the residence and surrounding property and confirmed that no other individuals were located, and there is no known ongoing threat to the public.
Detectives with the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office are working jointly with the Boulder County Coroner’s Office to determine the official cause and manner of death. The case has been assigned reference number 26-01788.
The man was identified as the popular UFO/paranormal writer David Wilcock. Next of kin has been notified.
Officials also emphasized the importance of mental health resources and encouraged anyone experiencing emotional distress to seek help. In Colorado, residents can contact or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline for confidential support 24/7.

I am very sad about this tragedy. David has a very long career of providing spiritual topics and how the world is formed. This is so uncharacteristic of his love for life and his vast intellect. He kindness is well known. May he celebrate now with the archangels he loved so much.

i have followed David’s information for many years…probably over 1,000 hours of listening and watching so i believe i know him. i watched his last podcast for about 2 1/2 hours this past Sunday. he mentioned things have been stressful lately but that has often been the case with him over time. sure didn’t seem like someone who was going to kill himself the next day. i assume he was suicided. which will be followed by the usual cover up. this is a tragic loss. thousands who knew him will morn his loss.
